Our first indoor show…
Anyone that knows us knows we enjoy a good car show as much as anyone, in fact we have been running our own for a few years. In early 2014 we created a car show called Letstance which long story short quickly became the brand and show combined. We ran 3 outdoor shows here in N.Ireland annually until eventually deciding that with our glorious N.Irish weather (downpours & wind) that we should search for an indoor venue.
Almost a year and a half we searched high and low to find an indoor venue that hadn’t been used for car shows and somewhere that was going to allow growth and just somewhere really suitable for lowered modified cars to access. We believe the wait finally paid off and couldn’t wait to start parking car up in our new arena and showing people where the new home of ‘SoLow’ would be.
Bright white LED lights give an even spread of lighting over the entire hall showing the true glossy paint finish on each and every car with stacks of space for traders and spectators to meander through the laid out cars.
The athletics track outdoors provides a fantastic surface for show cars to park on again offering a beautiful backdrop as you leave the indoor arena to start a 400m walk around of yet more show cars. Unfortunately, the rain was against us all week putting some cars off outdoor spots however we hope next year will be packed and much more going on outside.
Part 2 of our coverage will have plenty more about the cars that attended SoLow including our Car of the Show, Cathal Dobbin’s fully restored Mk2 Escort but let me take you through some other cars that really caught our eye…
Cameron Taggart’s freshly imported R34 Skyline really couldn’t of looked any better with a deep gloss finish and 4doors making it just that little bit different!
Some cars you love some cars you hate, a lot of people would say that a Honda CRZ isn’t great, however Blackwater Graphic’s CRZ might make you change your mind, bagged on Work wheels with a widebody kit and kick ass graphics really made us stop and take a second look.
An Is200 should be right at home in Magherafelt (our venue area) and well I think every one will agree Calvin’s absolutely fits in! Super clean, well looked after and stupidly wide!
